New title - hardy
The name isn't important, but the basic idea is a version of survivor that is implemented better. Not saying you have to remove survivor either. So how about this:
Experience / deaths.
If this number is under a certain amount, you get the "hardy" title. The lower it goes, the closer to maxing the title, and under a certain level, it is maxed.
So for example if you have 1,000,000xp, and 100 deaths, your value would be 10,000. I don't know what the levels for it should be, because I don't know how often the typical person dies. But I think my first character with 2mil xp has about 400 deaths. A new character I made recently and was careful with has less than 10 deaths. Although I didn't get survivor (I'm not lame and don't leave when the going gets tough), I think there should be some recognition for not dying much.

lol carth don't get sad, there are just alot more other topics, and everyone is whining about titles as is. Oh and I like the idea, hardy says "I'm Not a wuss but I can stay alive pretty well!" survivor says either "Woot I got pwr leveled" or "Haha I left when all those other suckers were about to die!"

400 deaths with 2mil exp? damn you're good^^. I have half the amount with quadruple the deaths... maybe its because im a mesmer, at least I average lower than the ele^^. j/k.
That's a combination of two different... er... things. And while it doesnt applaud someone who has alot of exp, it doesnt applaud someone who has alot of deaths either. But by combining the two, I think a really could title can be made of it. Only problem is, is that the survivor's title runs on 0 deaths...

I don't like this idea because
1) It starts out maxed
2) This would be the only title you can lose, after you earn it.

Yea I have encountered a few "surviors", I found them to be cowards. I would rather have death/exp ratio title. Or better yet have survivor count just reset at every death, so that if you made level one and died you kept level 1 and just had to start from the begining for level 2.

Good points. Maybe it should require a certain amount of XP with no deaths before you can get it. And it could be unloseable like Survivor is. After you die you still have it. But it is getting too complicated then, I think it needs a more elegant solution than this.

You know, most of the people who are working on the Survivor title track don't have the title visible, because they want to get in groups and not have to worry about the hencheis saving them. After they lose the title track, at whatever level they do it, they'll display the title, but not play afraid anymore.

i really like this title, even thou i died like 1200 times and have only 670k exp in addition, wich would rate me very low. anyway it would clearly solve the issue "who is the better exp gainer". i think they should also show exp/deaths in the title under the name of the player
i really like the idea mate!

I've never seen that question asked...generally people don't care who farms more
Meh, seems like another title idea for farmers...because you know they'd have the high levels of it..not dying often and all...and more power levelers, which you seem to be against since you made it an argument against survivor...
Look at it this way...you take scrolls as usual and get power leveled, but instead of wanting levels you're paying for "skill points"; since that would be the only real way to make a payment without being jipped...
In the end, the power levelers make tons more money, and if that's the case, go ahead, add this title, I need more money.

well then how about this hardy REQUIRES that you reach atleast level 7 and that you have died atleast once before it kicks in

Not a good idea, I PvP with my main PvE character, therefore I got nearly 2000 deaths ( what do you think after 15 months -_- ) every death in PVP counts too so =S
